I'd love to write another Snow Globe, but just had the three book deal with Penguin Random House, Berkley. I would likely have to Indie publish them going forward. The third Winnebago is the most chilling of all of the Winnebagos, but a story I felt had to be told. Yes, Alan and I are friends on Facebook. Thanks for your support!

Hi Claudia, Thank you so much! Yes, Alan and I have been good friends for many years. The first three Winnebagos are based on actual incidents that happened when I was with the Wright County Sheriff's Office. I wrote them as reverse detective stories--seeing what the bad guy is up to, and what the sheriff's deputies do about it. The next three are written as mysteries where you don't know who dunnit. Then I switch it up in the seventh and you see what the bad guys are up to, but not who they are. I appreciate you reaching out to me.

My brother, Alan Holst, told me that his friend, Chris, was an author. I looked her up and found she writes the kind of books I like to read. I've read the first two Snow Globe books and really liked them. I've read the first Winnebago book. It took awhile to get into it. I'm not used to knowing who the killer is before the end of the book. But I did enjoy it and have the second book here to read, now. Looking forward to reading all the books.

Barb Kranz says...
Hello Christine,

I am the director at the Gaylord MN Public Library and in February we have a Winter Speaker Series. I still have the date of Tuesday, February 6th open. I am wondering if you would be willing to come and speak. If you are what do you charge to speak.
I am writing a grant for this with the deadline of September 28th to have it turned in by.
Thank you for your quick response.

Sincerely,
Barb Kranz
Director

Many thanks, Barb!
